SPAFEST  2024  

10th – 12th September 2024

BACKGROUND

SpaFest 2024 will focus on mental wellbeing, sustainability, and health with connections through workshops and open discussion.  The aim is to empower leaders across the health and wellbeing sector to come together as a community as a force for good. This year focuses on the vital changes within the Health Sector and Wellbeing sector in terms of the need to “join up the dots” and recognise the benefits of inclusivity.

Clothing – please don’t wear business attire.  Wear casual clothing that you love and that is comfortable. Optional but ideally – Bring a mat, warm blanket and warm clothing.

Registration available from 10th September from 1300 with check in for rooms from 1600.  Storage for baggage is available. Light lunches available at a cost.

No obligatory sales meetings – just authentic connections and conversations.

Resilience and Compassion

For Early Risers

One hour Wellbeing Workshops – 7.15 for 7.30

7.30 –  8.30 Sound Healing Ceremony with Jill Russell, The Gong Whisperer  –  Experience a cosmic sounscape whilst being held in Mother Nature.  Warm clothing and a towel or yoga mat required.

7.30 – 8.30      Sea immersion – a Blue Health experience (all)

Deepen your nature connection as we walk down to the beach for a morning swim (or a paddle) and a creative Blue Health session with Lizzi Larbalestier, Pippa Best and Avril Greenaway. Warm clothing, good walking shoes, swimwear and towels or dri-robes required.

9.30 am            Opening SpaFest 2024 – Amanda Winwood & Made for Life Foundation Trustees

10.00 am          The Neuroscience of Mental Health and Management of Pain – a discussion and workshop with Louise Baker, Applied Neuroscience specialist, Amanda Winwood, Founder Made for Life Foundation  Deborah O’Nyons, Clinical Leadership, NHS England

11.00                Tea Break

11.30 am          Grounding with the Earth – Kari Herbert, Author, Artist, Polar Explorer and Justin Wiggan, Internal Garden –  An exploration of the positive health benefits of links with the land. Life lessons and learnings on survival and growth

12.30 pm          Lunch and connections

2.00 pm            Iain Bell – Being well throughout Life.  Nutritional, Mental and physical health tips with a focus on Menopause with Q & A with Dani Binnington, Founder – Menopause & Cancer CIC

3.00 pm            A little break to catch the breath

3.30 pm            The Real Conversation – How do we re-energise integrative wellbeing and enhance connections?

12.45 pm It’s a wrap. Lunch and Celebration of Life
